Good news / bad news:

I’ve seen a few researchers who list the good news and bad news that come with the job (e.g. Adam Aviv). I’ve seen others who’ve created a CV of Failures (e.g. Jessica Vitak). Seeing the rejections behind all of their success has certainly made my rejections feel a little lighter. It’s hard to ever find out the whole story – all the trials and perseverence and rejection that occur before a seminal paper (or any paper!) gets accepted. I really respect when others demystify this success, and honor their invisible work, by publishing these lists. So…
